All I need now is for Tell to chip in and I've got the complete academic asskicking experience.

And easy on the 's' key there, old fella, know what I'm saying?

Sorry, I am too busy discussing digital exams with L to stoop to such matters of inconsequence, BUT I will say I was shocked to catch the headlines this AM after going to be thinking we had it made...er...nevermind.

A truly painful day of golf to endure, while some of the Europeans might have played well the American side just choked away a number of matches.Donald and McIlroy won convincingly and outside of that Kuchar lost to Westwood who had been playing poorly and didn't play all that well yesterday,Mickelson had a number of chances to pull away from Rose and gagged on very makable putts,Simpson was up for most of his match against Poulter and let his nerves get the better of him,and Kaymer was all over the place and still managed to beat Stricker whose poor putting cost us the cup,the put he missed on 18 on Saturday came back to bite us in the ass on Sunday. As for Woods although he has won every singles match except his first in 97' he played pretty poorly throughout this competition, which is his history in team settings, and in the end couldn't even manage a full point against Molinari, while a talented player he seemed over matched the entire round.A shameful exhibition by the U.S. side, especially in light of the first 2 days. Not to completely take away from the European sides victory, but I think was more about the U.S. team choking than European team winning.Although they must be congratulated regardless of the circumstances for pulling off an astounding comeback and showing some serious backbone in a number of key situations in multiple matches.

That's what I get for my carelessly ungracious gloating - a proper professorial putdown.

If I change it nobody will know 'cept us...

"We've revised the qualifications" for the European Ryder Cup team, Lee Westwood laughed afterward. "Nine spots, two picks and Poults."
